Life in Black & White

The high street is buzzing with teasers of SS13 trends. With rave-esque neon greens and a dash of sixties geometric monochrome prints, we are about to be flung into a bright season.

New site PrettyLittleThing.com aims to have all of your SS13 trend needs tended to with their range of affordable fast fashion. With ecommerce an ever growing market for the fashion industry, this Lancashire based retailer ship worldwide and are hot on the heels of front runners like Missguided and Boohoo.

My thrifty little picks are perfect wardrobe staples to build on the monochrome trend. This dress can be gothed out with studs, or raved up with neon bright accessories. Try black and white with a pop of cobalt blue for a great trans-seasonal look.

All My Sh*t Dope

photo (2)Natch, my working week isn’t too exciting. My offices are based in a town with little to offer. Most of my shopping happens on Missguided.co.uk, or in a ill-advised Topshop spending spree on a Saturday at the Bullring. So judge me, when a little thrifty shop opened in the town centre and I had to purchase these eye catching vests.  Stylish and cheap enough for a wear-once policy – a total snip at £3 that has saved me a grand total of TWO outfit crises.

In addition, after thinking very seriously about disco pants, I finally got some. I had to have Missguided‘s Kadira disco pant. Back pockets and a fly are a must if you don’t want to look too 2009. Now we know what Olivia Newton-John and Tyga’s offspring would look like.

What I Wore: The Sequin Sleeved Jacket

As a person who lacks a little sparkle in her wardrobe, I decided to pop on this little Daisystreet.co.uk contrast number to head for a few festive drinks.

Made in Chelsea’s Millie Mackintosh worked hers with a pair of wet look jeans and a cosy hat when she stepped out with boyfriend Professor Green.

The contrast sleeved parka has been a huge trend for autumn, and what better way to bring a little bit of glam to your wardrobe than with a few sequins? Surprisingly enough, the deep green compliments a lot of outfits, and it’s a great way to style up a pair of jeans and a cable knit jumper.

DaisyStreet.co.uk celebrated it’s year online by inviting all your favourite fashion bloggers to a glamorous party, with more glitter than a Ke$ha video!

A champagne reception and a goody bag greeted us, followed by a showcase of the latest items, and some sneak previews of those yet to hit the website!

They’ve already racked up celebrity fans such as Jameela Jamil with the famous Leela platform boot, and Millie Macintosh, who stepped out with boyfriend Pro Green in the Lilou sequin sleeve jacket.

Get It Or Regret It: Internacionale’s Henry Holland Inspired Knits

Henry Holland has quickly become a British icon to rival Westwood in recent years. With friends like celebrity darlings Alexa Chung and Agyness Deyn, it’s no wonder your standard Brit It Girls lap up his designs every season!

His current RTW collection features punchy houndstooth designs in a miriad of psychadelic colours. Jay-Z’s latest prodigy, West-London girl Rita Ora, tweeted her head-to-toe houndstooth look.

@RITA ORA: HENRY HOLLAND THANK YOU FOR YOUR CREATIONS! SOOOOOO DOPE!!!!

The originals might stretch the bank balance a little…

But Internacionale have given us a gorgeous alternative to have us rocking a colour pop through the winter months… without too much pressure on the purse!

Mango’s Autumn Collection Has Landed!

Mango know exactly what to offer! Their Autumn Collection might be our high-street hottest! From partywear to office staples (get it?), there’s something to suit every taste and every pocket! We love it here at Bleach!

Kate Moss has signed up as the face (and hot body) of Mango for the third season running, a good choice from the Spanish retailer! Who looks better in a classic design than the most classic supermodel?
My top pick from the collection, due to my current workwear crisis, is this gorgeous Contrast Panelled Dress – it’s a snip at just £22.99! Sure to be a best-seller, order it now before it flies off the rails!

Take a peek at my other top tips from the Autumn capsule:

Woman Of Steel

Precious Mettle: Jessica Ennis is Team GB’s Golden Girl

Courtesy of ES Magazine

Britain were a mess of chewed fingernails and shattered nerves last night as three of our British hopefuls took centre stage at the athletic events. Heptathlete Jessica Ennis, distance runner Mo Farrah and long-jumper Greg Rutherford ushered the crowd into rapture with three golden victories to add to the medal table.

Get The Look: Alexa Chung

A quick post for you today, Bleachers! I’ve had to move back in with my parents. So-long, Sheffield! Hello… Coventry. As a result of this, my dad tried (and failed) to set up a working internet connection for both of us… (don’t ask), and while I was trawling away at work, he broke my laptop.

Brilliant.

So now I’m using a stone age Dell Inspiron with little to no software, so apologies for the crudeness in quality of this post!

Miss Chung cameos in every fashion magazine at least once a month! She knows how to dress for her shape and is always true to her own tastes, a fashion A* if you will. Alexa wore a gorgeous Chloe blouse and Charlotte Olympia pumps at Paris Fashion Week, and no sooner had she flung her outfit back into her suitcase had Topshop produced a paisley blouse that looked suspiciously similar…

2. Kaliko Navy Pleated Skirt, £65, House of Fraser
3. Velvet Cat Face Pumps, £23.99, Missguided.co.uk

Pick of the Sales! Wild and (Almost) Free

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve gone on a bit of an animal prints overload recently. There was a lot of leopard print leftover on the sale rails, so who would I be to leave it there without a lovely warm home to go to?

If you love a walk on the wild side,  though, it might be time to update your animal prints with a splash of stripes!

Easy tiger!

Emma Watson (left) and Kate Bosworth (right) both rocked Mulberry stripes at Coachella festival this year! I love the different ways they’ve styled it, from Riviera chic to grungey and gorgeous.

Here’s my lovely little stripey sale pick which is perfect to prowl the urban jungle!

This Zara jacket ticks two fashion boxes! Tailoring and big prints are great if you want a bold alternative to this season’s pastel pallette. We love! And it’s only £49.99. A nice little investment piece for summer picnics, shopping trips, or even to watch your local band with some black skinnies!

Pick of the Sales!

Get it now, before it’s too late!

This ombre maxi by Rare ticks all the fashion boxes! It’s a bargain at just £30! It’s available now from Rare and selected Topshop stores. Wear with a loose knit white jumper for those chilly spring nights or a pastel body to hit the town! Even brave it shopping with a denim gilet and cream tank. It’s the perfect summer staple that’ll make you stand out from the crowd!

Now we just pray the weather lets up…
